Hotel de Flandre is an intimate 4 star property offering exquisitely appointed rooms and suites in the historic heart of Ghent. The hotel is ideally located on Poel Street, right in the city centre. Within walking distance are landmarks like the Koren and Graslei, the 900 year old Gravensteen and the museum of Modern Art. Also nearby are the three towers of Ghent, for which the city is renowned; St Baafs cathedral, Sint Niklaas church and Belfort. Other area attractions include Stadhuis and Het Huis van Alijn. There are two main train stations not too far away, providing easy access to other city destinations and beyond. The cosy boutique hotel comprises of 2 carefully restored buildings: a coach house and a mid 18th century Grade II listed building with Napoleonic staircase. There is a charming outdoor patio, plus Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the premises for ultimate convenience. Each morning breakfast can be enjoyed in the individual rooms; there is also a bar and limited room service menu. Executive rooms overlook either the hotel’s private court or the classic 19th century buildings on Poel Street. They have all the same features as the standard rooms but provide a little more space. Room amenities include luxury Damana toiletries, hairdryer, electronic in-room safe, mini-bar and individually controlled air conditioning and heating.
